You read on the Internet and see on the TV all those national disasters
such as for example:

1. Fire in Texas
2. Flooding in New York and Pennsylvania
3. Flooding in Vermont
4. Rain from South Carolina to NY from Tropical Storm "Lee".
5. Earthquake that happen in Virginia but felt from Georgia to Canada.

And many other different things. I know the Fire in Texas might not be a
National Disaster if started from Arson. But dry air and wind could possible
start a fire in the forest.

Anyway, why are all these things happenning? Do they happen because the
weather wants to do these things? Does Earth decides where and when to have
an Earthquake? Does the rain decided to pour more water and make flood
happen anywhere it wants to?

People do get angry and upset about all these things are going on. People cry
and get confuse and don't know what to do. When people see these things,
do they think it is a sign of some bad will happen? Who knows what would
happen tomorrow, next week or even in 2012 or the future.

But in my opinion, God is doing these things to test us to see how we can
handle these things. People in Japan has has bad disaster and even Earthquake.
I feel for them and sad to see what they are going through. Even with thier
economy not going well, they manage to deal with it the best they can.

Every single of of these things are a test and God will continue to do these
things and even more. These things aren't as bad as in the Bible story
"The Book of Job". A man was test by the Devil and lost everything and
had many bad things to happen to him. He got angry at God for what was
happening to him. God told him that what he was going through was simply
a test. God wanted to see Job trust in God and pray to God. We should do
the same. We should be praying to God to help us deal with these things to
survived. God is always there all he wants to hear from us. God is not
abandoning us. If we ignore God, God will be very disappointed like he was
with Job.

Please pray to God and have faith with him. He is testing us and he loves us.
Things will get better with help from God with patient.

Westboro Baptist Church and Picket....

I will post my comment after you read the following article via link:

http://www.examiner.com/religion-culture-in-national/westboro-baptist-chuch-god-sent-the-shooter-to-arizona

---

I don't understand this Baptist church support the shooter, picket funerals and says that Jewish kill Jesus. Well, when Jesus was on Earth, he knew it was his time to go to die on the Cross. God planned all of that to show his love for all of us. If Jesus had not died on the Cross, many different things would have happen over the years. Jesus would have been around on Earth for probably over 2,000 years if he has not yet died and gone to Heaven. I could not image that would be something. Moses lived for 800 years before he died.

We all die at a young age between birth to maybe 100 years old. Death doesn't have any age and it doesn't have an appointment schedule on when a person will die. The person will die when God wants the person to come home.

Anyway, back to my point on the Westboro Baptist Church. Who are they that picket funerals? They probably will picket the 9 year old funeral as well. None of those funeral deserve to be picket. They all got shot and died from a person that is now in Jail. I would have a hard time if I was the juror in his trial. But clearly what he did was wrong. I know God isn't happy with him for what he has done.

I have been to two different Baptist church and they are nice people and are nice churches. I wonder if Westboro Baptist Church forgot one very important commandment: "Thou Shall Love Thy Neighbor"? I don't think picket is Love and I know God would not picket funerals. All I got to say is shame on the Westboro Baptist Church for picket funerals even if they do it because of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Assembly. I guess they can get all the attention they want but definitely not showing any respects for picket the funerals.

Happy New Year...

Editor Note: The blog below is opinion of the writer and do not wish to be criticize for anything that has been posted. The writer would appreciate your understanding on this. Thank you.

-----

Happy New Year to everyone that read this blog. I hope the year 2011 brings many wonderful things to all of you.

The only key thing for 2011 to make it easier for me is to not make any new resolution or goal to make. To make any goals for 2011 would be hard for me to do. Any goals that are made can be easy to break or easy to remember as a goal. I mean goals can be forgotten to make.

If there is anything I wish for in this world would be Peace on Earth. That would be impossible with all those bombing, killing, rapes, murder and many different crimes that are going on in this world. All those things are happening because of "Free Will". What do I mean by "Free Will"? I mean we are free to do what we want even if it is right or wrong. We can break laws, revenge on people, kill another person and so on. I would never ever encourage anyone to do any of those things I mention. Even if you don't get caught doing it, it will catch up with you after you have died. It will be on your judgement record that God will show you after you have died. You can run anywhere you want in this world, escape getting caught and or escape going to court for the crime but God is watching every move you make. You can laugh all you want about what I
have said. But if you have read the Holy Bible and believe in Jesus Christ and God, you know your judgement will occur after your death. You all know Jesus Christ died for our sins but things we do in life, they are a part of our life record.

In my life, I have done things that I regret but never broken any laws to go to Jail. Of course, I have gotten traffic tickets and paid the fines.

As for extreme terrorist who thinks all the bombing and the killing they do is to their believe is "Allah" to God as they think God wants them to kill people will be wrong once they died. The Holy Bible show loves as "Love One Another as God Loves You". Not kill one another. Killing anyone will never solve anything. And of course killing yourself or commit suicide does not solve any problems as well. If you ever think about doing it, get help or talk with someone that can help you. I know of two people in the past that have committed suicide and I never knew they would do it.

Anyhow, I wish all of you a Happy New Year and thank you for reading my blog.

Election on November 2nd....

I know that I plan on voting next Tuesday. But I am not going to trust the
electric voting machine. To give you a reason, please read the following
article in the link:

http://www.newbernsj.com/articles/machine-91656-screen-voter.html

Once you have read that, you can see that a person press all Republican
but prior to pressing "Vote", the system automatically changes his votes
to all Democrats.

I fear that is going to happen next Tuesday because the Democrats are
afraid to lose their seats during the election. Either the candidates or their
party set this up for next Tuesday election. As nobody will ever know if
that will happen. Even if after pressing "Vote", what would happen if the
system still changes those answers to the opposite party? Someone can
program the system to make sure more votes go to Democrats than
the Republicans.

So in my opinion, the best way to show honest election is to go back to use
paper ballot in my opinion. If people can honestly fill those out the proper
way, the system can't can't what is marked on the cards. If they do a recall,
the paper is far better than the computer. But I hope it does not happen like
it did in Florida a long time ago.

The bottom line is I hope the election comes out fair and honest next Tuesday.
But if there is any cheating by either party next Tuesday, the election is
declared a Fraud. Even if that Fraud helps the Democrats maintain the
control of the Congress, they shall be impeached for the Fraud election. They
will be dishonest politician that they will have their worst nightmare that it
is very possible that huge Protest far worst than Green Tea party will rebelled
against the Government. Enough rebelling that they want to overthrow the
Government. I hope that doesn't happen but anything is possible.

Cell Phone back in 1928 ?????

Take a look at the following website:

http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/10/26/5353411-cell-phone-time-traveler-from-1928

That was from a Charlies Chaplin movie. In North Carolina, one person went to the booth and chooses all Republicans
but before the person click vote to verified the information, all the Democrats
boxes were checked instead of Republicans. Here is the link to the story:

http://www.newbernsj.com/articles/machine-91656-screen-voter.html

2. Here is one in Nevada for the election of Harry Reid. A voter complained
that his name is already check before casting the ballot when the voter
voted for the Republican party. Here is the link to the story:

http://www.fox5vegas.com/news/25511115/detail.html

---

Now that you have read the stories, the Democrats don't want to lose their
seats in the Congress. The Democrats wants to control the Congress and
destroy the Republicans party. In 2008 election or prior to that, have
you ever heard of any Republicans party did that at the election? What
if it was reverse and the Republicans did that?

I don't think it is fair for the voters to lose their rights to vote for
who they want to vote for no matter what party. For one big Party in the
Congress, the Democrats don't want to see the Republican take back control
of the Congress. There are voters that aren't happy with some of the things
the Democrats did like for example, passing the Health Care Reform and
passing the taxes on to us. For example, right now in the Health Care Reform,
you will have to pay Home Sales Tax after you sold your house to help pay
for the Health Care Reform. Do you want proof, here is the link to the
article:

http://www.naturalnews.com/029849_health_care_reform_taxes.html

I simply want the election to be fair for the voters and not to have
the machine favorite one party over another party. One more thing, if
you all are thinking about the Democrats using a scare tact that says,
A vote for the Republican party is a reverse to President Bush time is
completely wrong. It is now 2010, two years the Democrats control the
Congress and the White House. President Bush only left the White House
with 1 trillion dollars deficits, The National Deficits is now 13.04
Trillion Dollars after Health Care Reform pass, the Bank Bail out and
the Auto Company Bail out spending. The Democrats spend my money on
things I never ask them to spend the money. Now sadly, we will be
carrying on the deficits for the rest of our lives and including our
grand children in the future. Thanks the Democrats for the mess.

I hope the Election next Tuesday is fair and square. If the Democrats
wins back Control of the Congress, you can kiss your Freedom good bye
since the Health Care Reform has pass. Since it is passed, it force
all American to have the Health Care Insurance by 2014 or we will be
paying penalty at tax time for not having insurances. That is not
democracy, that is totally "SOCIALISM".

Helping others in hot weather....

This will probably be one of my short blog you have ever read but it does
have a point of helping other people in Hot Weather.

I was at a car dealership waiting for the van to get repaired this recent
Saturday. The weather man warn us that it was going to be a very hot humid
day in 100 degree. I was sitting in a lounge chair in the car sales
department. I was a Spanish man sitting on the step waiting for the bus
to come. I said to my self, there is no way I am going to let him sit out
in that hot weather and not be cool in that weather. So I got out of my
chair and brought a water bottle. I went to give the water bottle to the
man. The man said "Thank you". I have him a thump up and left. I know my
speech is not good with Spanish people because of ascent.

Anyhow, what I did was in a way call Pay It Forward, Help others in need
and they will help other people in need. God wants to see people doing
this. I am glad I gave the man a bottle of water instead of waiting for him
to have a heat stroke or a heart attack in the hot weather.

I don't care what his purpose was or where he was going. I am glad I did
that. Every single one of us on Earth no matter who we are or what we
look like, we are all Children of God. God created all of us.

If you can help others, God will surely appreciate it and so will the person.
It shows that you care. Perhaps one day later after you do that, you just
never know someone will help you like returning the same favorite.

Please try this and watch how much the person will appreciate it. If the
person does not appreciation for it, just let it go as God will know you were
doing what was right.

House Repairs....

It is true that owning a condo, townhouse or a house comes with a repairs
through out the time of living in the house. That is no laughing matter.
That even include a new house after a one year warrenty.

House repairs that I have not done yet but will do it when I find the
money is the Air condition repair. Yeah, I know I will have a hot summer
but somehow I will find the money to get it repair. It is not cheap and
I can't repair it myself.

Another problem came up yesterday was that water dripping under the house.
The Ground is still dry and I had the Fireman come to look at it. I called
the Plumber and they will come out today to fix it. I hope it is not too
expensive to repair.

One thing about any place you live that requires repair, learn to expect
unexpect things to happen. It will happen when you least never expect it
to happen. When it does, good luck getting the problem fix and getting
the problem repaired.

Environmentalist Group are insane......

I know I will probably get backlash from the Environmentalist Group (EP) for this
blog post. They are one of the biggest threaten group that is so power and
yet they don't really care about our needs.

The EP group goes after the Congress and tell them not to support drilling off
the Coast of the United States worrying about the dangerous of drilling like the
Oil link in the Gulf of Mexico. That is the first time that ever happen that the
explosion happen and all that Oil link. Overseas that has the same kind of Oil
drilling and pumping Oil out of the ground does not have this problem. There are
other companies in the Gulf of Mexico that does not have this problem. The
technology for new Energy cars and so on are on the drawing board and takes a
long time to be put on the road. They are working on it and by the time they
hit the auto industries and tell us to buy those cars will have some kind of
problems with them. The EP group is forcing us to do thing to please them.

Yeah, I know the population is a man-made thing and is bad for the environment
yet the EP group is going after all of us to please them.

Take for example, the environment new light bulb that is suppose to last 7 years.
But they don't last that long. If drop the light bulb, you have to worry about
Mercury damage compare to a normal light bulb. That is not good but that is
what EP wants us to do.

Well, I have my worst nightmare two weeks ago and I have to thank the EP group for
this. My Air Conditioner outside Fan Unit broke and I had the Air Conditioner
technician looked at the problem. He said the Compressor broke and it would cost
about $ 2,650 to replace. Great, I don't have that money. On top of that, the
man said he would not put in a new compressor in a 6 years old unit. I ask him
why and he said the Fan Unit is not Environmental compliance and not worth putting
the compressor in there. Let see, six years ago, I paid approximately $ 4,000
for a new Air Conditioner system. Now news flash, a whole new Air Conditioner
system will cost me Whipple about $ 7,600 to have a system that is Environmental
Compliance. Once I pay that money, the government will give me $ 1,500 money back
as a part of home improvement and for meeting the Environment standard.

It doesn't matter if I go to another Air Conditioner company for comparison
because they will tell me the same thing that their technology is up to Standard
for Environment Compliance.

So, how do I know this? I did research online and here are two proof:

1. Go to the hardware store and look at the Appliance area, you should see a
poster saying Government will give you a deductible for replacing your old
compliance to Environment Compliance such as 300.00 to replace the Heat Pump,
I think 600.00 to replace your old appliances and so on. How is that for a
thought?

2. Here is an example of Environmental Law on the Air Conditioner link

http://www.allbusiness.com/legal/environmental-law-air-quality-regulation/8910790-1.html

So that means I can't put a new compressor in my Fan Unit because it is not
Environmental Compliance. In the meantime, I will have to keep looking for
an answer to the air conditioner problem.

Depression from the Past....

You know every now and then, you get flashback about somethings that happen in
the past while growing up. Some of those things are good to remember and some
of them are bad to remember like I wish I could get rid of it.

I could go to counseloring, I could go to a Doctor for medications to help with
those things. But instead of those two things, I went and I spoke with a Priest
about it. The Priest gave me some prayer cards to use and pray to God to give
God what happen in my past. Surely it is easy to pray but it doesnt' necessary
means those memories will be gone.

An example of a memory that I don't recall that my brother told me that I did in
the past. My brother laughed and told me that I hit a kid with a lunchbox. I don't
even recall doing that at all. If I had remember, I would have remember watching
the kid crying and screaming from being hit on the head with the lunchbox. I figure
God took that memory away from me because he probably understood what I did and
that I did not need to remember it.

When I was in a special class with other servre disability students, I remember
being in that class room in Hampton Va. In that class, I had a friend name Jay
Le Dible (?) in which he was in a wheelchair and was very disability like he
could not move his hands. He had a positive attitute and a really nice person.
In that class room, I was sucking two fingers on my hand which were the index and middle gingers on either my right hand or my left hand. The teacher taped those two fingers together and tells me to suck on the tape. I did not like sucking on the tapes and thus it made me not to suck my fingers again. That was embarrassing to happen in the class room.

In another time in the same class room as I will sworn on any Bible that this
really happen. Just be warned that this isn't pleasant to read but here it goes:

One day, the teacher had us bring our chairs up close for reading time. She then
told one girl to come up on the right side of the teacher. I wasn't really
understanding what the teacher was saying. But the teacher proceeded to turn the
girl around as she was facing away from the students and her back was toward us.
The teacher pulled up the girl skirt to tuck it into the belt. She pulled down
the girl's panty to expose the girl bare bottom. The teacher than torn off the
white fungus on one of her finger and twist the fungus. The next thing the teacher
did was place it into the girl's rectum. The teacher had the student stand the
whole reading time. During the reading time, the teacher would stop from time to
time to push in the fungus into the girl's rectum. Surely the teacher did slap
the girl on the bare bottom a few times as well but it was never red or hard enough
for the girl to cry.

Not only is that one memory I had is depression to remember. I also remember being
spanked twice in two different schools in Hampton, Va. Surely as I remember that I
know I deserved those two for misbehaving. But my parents never knew I was spanked
in school. I wish my parents knew about the spanking. It would have made me felt
better if the parents knew and discuss me about those behavior I did in school.

To remember those things from time to time does drive me to feel depression because
they aren't pleasant to remember. I know from the Priest says the best thing to
do is to pray to God and let him take those memory away from me. I am too scared
to tell anyone about these events because no one will ever believe me. That
story of the girl in school, people would think I am insane or that I made up that
story. There is no witness today to back me up except God. The class room was way
seperate from te other parts of the school for anyone to see or to hear. It was not
in a trailor but down a very long hallway as far as I can remember.

Writing this in a blog and sharing this does help me put it in writing to help get
it off my chest. I know parts of this blog was gross to share but I had to make
a point. There is a point which is some things in the past can be carried on to
feel depression. For all I know, the answer is prayers to God to help me get on
with my life and try to forget it. Being 47 years old, I still carry it with me.
That is very sad to carry on and will always be a part of my life until one day
I finally forget that it ever happens.

NY Yankees and anti-Yankees Fans

Sigh. Here comes a subject that is ongoing and will never end and will never please everyone everywhere.

The NY Yankees won the 27th World Series Champion in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The last time they won the World Series was in 2000 against the NY Mets. That means it has been about 9 years since the last time NY Yankees won the World Series. Congratulation to the NY Yankees for winning the World Series fair and square. Anyone can argue that they don't deserve the Champion. But to the eyes of the Umpires and to the eyes of the Major League Baseball Commissioner, they have won the Champion.

For those who are upset that the NY Yankees won the World Series including the Phillies fan, you know the Phillies blew it with Pedro Martinez and Brad Lidge who are both pitchers for the Phillies. The Manager of the Phillies should have not let them pitch to the Yankees. You also saw some of the errors that the Phillies made on the field against the Yankees that they should have not made. Those things causes the Phillies to loses the games. I do know that the Phillies are a good team and they are bound to be back in the World Series next year.

I am tired of hearing about all those people being upset about the NY Yankees winning the 27th Champion. There are a lot of teams that are just as good. Off the point, how bout this for a thought, the Boston Celtics has won 17th NBA Champion and they may win their 18th Champion? I know that is not as nearly as 27th as the Yankees. Even the Montreal Canadians have won 24 Stanley Cup in the National Hockey League.

I would not make a big deal about the NY Yankees winning the 27th World Series. Why?
Because it is only just a number. That doesn't prove that they can beat every MLB
teams and they certainly not a perfect team even with the highest salary baseball team. If they were so perfect, they couldn't win the first game in the World Series against the Phillies. They didn't beat the Angels four games straight to the World Series.

Every baseball season is different and every team is different. The 2009 NY Yankees had some old players that did play against the NY Mets that won the World Series back in 2000. I am surprise the NY Yankees kept some of those players. But it took them 9 seasons to get back to the World Series. I remember they almost made it two or three years ago when they had a 3 games to 1 lead over the Boston Red Sox. But the Boston Red Sox came back and eliminate the Yankees. I think that was the year Boston Red Sox finally won their World Series in a very long time.

For those of you that are upset with the NY Yankees for the 27th time, I suggest you look forward to next year as a hopefully better year for your teams. Nothing in the history book is going to change how many World Series the NY Yankees win. I don't care because it is just a number as I have mention. Being angry with those who are happy that NY Yankees win isn't going to make anything better or change who won the World Series. It will build just built more stress on those who are angry. It is not the worst thing in the World that the NY Yankees win or the biggest thing in the world. I would say whoopee because it only happen in 2009 and it just plain baseball history. History stays in the past and there are better things in the future. Look to the future and to next year baseball season. I hope we can all make peace about this and move on to next year.

Nominations for the Worst NFL Awards....

Please read the following as a fantasy show and then read my comment afterward:

"Welcome to the Worst National Football League (NFL)Award Shows where the award is giving to the Worst of the Worst in the NFL.

First up: Nomination for the Worst NFL Worst Owner and the nominating are:

Dallas Cowboys Owner - Jerry Jones
Detroit Lions Owner - William Clay
Carolina Panthers Owner - Jerry Richardson
Washington Redskins Owner - Daniel Snyder

And the winner is - Daniel Snyder of the Washington Redskins

Next up: Nominations for the NFL Worst Head Coach and the nominating are:

Dallas Cowboys Head Coach - Wade Phillips
Detroit Lions Head Coach - Jim Schwartz
Carolina Panthers Head Coach - John Fox
Washington Redskins Head Coach - Jim Zorn

And the winner is - Jim Zorn of the Washington Redskins

And finally, the nomination for the NFL Worst Quarterback and the nominating are:

Dallas Cowboys Quarterback - Tony Romo
Detroit Lions Quarterback - Matt Stafford
Carolina Panthers Quaterback - Jake Delhomme
Washington Redskins Quarterback - Jason Campbell

And the winner is - Jason Campbell of the Washington Redskins

Thank you very much for watch this brief show and now here is the editor of this blog:

You know, the Washington Redskins has an owner that ever since he owns the
Washington Redskins, he can't bring the Superbowl Champion to the Washington Redskins team and let alone the Fans. Daniel Snyder has no clue how to select the right Head Coach for the team and let alone, not even Joe Gibbs could do it for the team. I have tons of respect for Joe Gibbs but the owner don't even know exactly how help the team. As long as Dan Snyder is the owner of the Washington Redskins, he will never bring the Superbowl to the Washington Redskins team.

Washington Redskins Head Coach Jim Zorn did all kinds of things with the team and I don't see how he is a good head coach for the team. He was the Quarterback Head Coach before Daniel Synder picked him as the Head Coach. When Jim Zorn was the Quarterback Head Coach, he did different drills with the Quarterback including using big exercise bouncing balls to be bounce at the Quarterback to teach the Quarterback how to avoid being tackle. That didn't seem to help Jason Campbell. I don't even see a miracle that he can help this team make the playoff this year.

Washington Redskins Jason Campbell had been the Quarterback even since Joe Gibbs was the head coach two years ago. I don't see anything magic that Jason Campbell can do as the Quarterback of the team. He holds the ball too long to allow a sack to happen. He can't run the ball a couple of yards to help the team. I am not proud of seeing Jason Campbell as the Starting Quarterback of the Redskins.

My overall point of this blog is that I wish the Owner of the Redskins wake up and stop acting like a Clown of the team. If he can't do it right next year in 2010, I would like to see him sell the team to someone that knows how to help the Redskins win a Superbowl for the fans of the team as well as for the team. The team needs help badly and I know the team is hungry to be in the Superbowl. Until the Owner of the Redskins picks a good head coach that finds a better Quarterback or until the team makes changes as a better team for the rest of this Football Season, the team should go ahead and plan on being the Worst team in the NFL for already losing to Detroit Lions and the Carolina Panthers. Up next, the Kansas City Chief.

If the Redskins loses to the Chief, they can go ahead and join the rest of the
worst teams in the NFL.

Is Stealing a Smart thing to do or a Stupid thing to do?

Some of you will say that Stealing is a Smart thing to do and some of you will say that stealing is a Stupid thing to do. For me I will definitely say that Stealing is a Stupid idea.

Last Thursday my son went over to a friends house to play. He left his bike on the side on the front of the house. The side of the house is also an entry to a
park. About an hour later or so, when my son went to get the bike, the bike was stolen while he was playing in the house. I was cutting my front lawn when he walked home with his friend to tell me that his bike was stolen and that the Police will be over their house soon to take the report. My son wanted me to go over to his friends house and wait for the Police to come. My friend's mother told me to go home and if the Police needed anything, she will send the Police over to our house. The Police did go to their house and took the report of the stolen bicycle and left. We didn't have any picture of the bicycle at home to show the Police officer even if the Police Officer had come over.

Whoever stole my son's bicycle is going to find out there is just one problem with
that bike. The brakes on the bicycle is broken and needed to be repaired. We have
already repaired the brakes one through the bike shop. We had the brake repair so
that my son can take it on his Boy Scout camping trip. The brakes broke on his
Boy Scouts camping trip trying to ride through the hills.

When I was a child growing up in the early 1970's, I was about 11 or 12 years old,
my Adult Three Wheel bicycle was stolen in the backyard of our house. The bike was
too big to put in the shad or in the garage. We didn't any bicycle lock for it.
I know you could say why didn't we get a bike lock for it. I didn't think anyone
wants an Adult Three Wheel bicycle while most people ride two wheel bikes. Why did
I have a Three Wheel bicycle? Because I have Cerebral Palsy and I can't ride a two
wheel bicycle with my balance problem. My bicycle was never recovered and my son
who I told him about what happen said he had a hatch that someone stole my bicycle
for revenge or angry with me. I told my son that I do agree with him because I
remember at times I was doing things and I don't know if I ever tick of anyone
doing anything they didn't like. You know children do things that are very immature
but I didn't think I did anything that would cause anyone to be angry or revenge on
me. I got a new one for my birthday and that one wasn't stolen but it was damage
years later in a hurricane season. I will never forget the bicycle that was stolen
from me. That happen way over 35 years ago and I know I will never ever recover
that bicycle living in a different city. It was stolen when I was living in
Hampton Virginia and I now live in Alexandria Va.

Not only my bicycle and my son bicycle was stolen at different time and different
era. My son's friend mother told me that she borrowed one of her friend bicycle and that bicycle was stolen as well.

So this is for people who steal anything including any bicycle. I have a question
for those who steal, is stealing a smart thing to do or a stupid thing to do? If
you think stealing even a bicycle a smart thing to do, how so? Was it smart to steal
to sell to someone else in hope to make money when you were not the person that
brought the bicycle or the item you stole? Does it make you feel good to make money
on things that isn't yours and yet you don't even care about the victim you stole
from? How would you feel is someone stole your bicycle and sell it or burn it or
damage it for whatever reason? Sure, the bicycle or item can easily be replace with
a new one. But do you know what the problem is after you have stolen the item? Even
if nobody caught you stealing the bicycle or anything, there is one person that has
already know it was you that did and you can't hide from that person. It is not
the Police or the neighbor who watch you. It is God that is watching you 24 hours
a day and 7 days a week. On the day you pass away and face your judgement, God will
question you on why you stole the item or the bicycle. Even if not of value to you,
it is of value to the victim. Sadly, what is done is done. Any person that does
any stealing is not very smart and has officially done a stupid thing. There is
nothing to be proud of stealing something that doesn't belong to the person that
stole the item.

Oh, I will tell you a true story based on stealing. One woman went away on vacation
and when she came home, there were many items stolen form her house. A few weeks
later, she happen to saw a yard sale in the neighborhood. She saw her items were
for sale and the man behind the yard sale was arrested for selling her items. The
man wasn't smart to break into her house and selling her things.

Anyone who reads this blog and thinking of stealing something or has stolen sometime
that belongs to someone else, think twice about how would you feeling if you were
the victim of someone stealing something from you. Stealing is not a good thing to
do and it is a shameful act of doing so. There is definitely no pride or anything
to be proud of stealing anything. If is stealing is to hope someone else buys the
item and you get the money. You never deserve the money you make on selling something
that you stole from someone else. Even if you are desperate for money, get a job or
find an honest way to make money instead of stealing.

Driving is insane...

You may think the topic is way out of wack. But what I am talking about driving
just about anywhere is insane.

No, I am not afraid to drive but I find that no matter where I drive, there is
always something going on that is insane.

For example, at a Traffic light on Route 1 in Alexandria, Va. There are three lanes
at that traffic light. The first lane that goes only left turn at the traffic light.
The second lane is either to turn left at the traffic light or straight across
the street to Walmart Shopping Center. The Third lane is strictly to turn right
at the light to drive North on Route 1. Okay I am in the middle lane to make
a left turn at the light. The light turns green. As I was turning left at the
light from the middle lane, the car in the third lane also turns left at the light.
So that means three cars are going left at the light. Actually the lanes as driving
to the left, there is three lanes but that third lane is to turn Right at the
second light on Route 1 South. So do you think that is insane that a third car
would turn left at the light? I believe so but there was no police car to catch
that person for violating that sign.

Another example, I am in the right lane and following the car in front of me. Of
course I have to keep a little distance in case the car in front of me suddenly
stops or turns at the last minute. I can't trust cars in front of me. As it says
in the Driver's motor vehicle handbook, the rule of thumb is to count 1001, 1002,
and 1003 as to know if you are in the correct distance between your car and the
car in front of you. No, I don't those numbers but I can very well guess how much
space to give between me and the car in front of me. The person behind me does not
like what I am doing and thinks I am going slow. So what does that driver do? Goes
into the left lane, passes me and then move over to drive in front of me. What ever
happen to common sense of space between cars. i wasn't driving slow but I was drive
the exact speed limit plus perhaps 5 miles above the speed limit. I don't consider
that I am going slow at all. People now a day don't care about space and will always
think I was going slow. People are rushing and have no patients for those kind
of things in traffic. They tend to be late and wants to rush to where ever they
need to go to.

As for the last paragraph, I know one thing for a fact, there are people that don't
ever intend to follow the speed limit no matter where they are driving. For example,
I know one road that is two lanes and a four lane traffic with the speed limit of
40 miles an hour. In the early morning, there is hardly any traffic on that road.
Instea of going 40 miles an hour, I have hit about 50 miles an hour but there are
drivers on that road that is going 55 or more. How do I know, when I am going 50,
I can tell one is going 60 miles an hour or higher by passing my car plus the
distance they are going as they are speeding down that road.

There will always be someone that is in a hurry, driving in and out of the traffic,
passing cars and cutting cars as if they don't care. Oh yeah, those people are
gamble to hope to get into a car accident to surely make tons of money.

Once a person gets a driving license, they do what they please and forget about
what they have learned to get the driving license. Like when approaching close to
a traffic light that becomes yellow, the person speeds to pass that yellow light
in order to avoid stopping at the traffic light. I did that onces but the traffic
camera caught me and send me a ticket for running the red light even when it comes
on, the camera caught me going through the Red light in less than one second. I
didn't think I would get caught but I was caught.

So no matter where you drive, there will always be someone driving insane and are
the ones that hope they never get caught by the Police. They take too much pride
in being rude in traffic as if they don't really care. They think they have every
rights to do as they please when they drive. They disobey the traffic lights and
the speed limit. Even if they are behind you and you stop at the traffic light
instead of running through the Yellow light, they will honk their horns or flash
their car lights or make a fist or a mad face to show their displeasure on how you are driving. Shame on them. They will regret it when someone else does it to
them later on. Those kinds of things the other driver does will never make the
road safe.

oh well, enough thoughts on this topic as you get the picture.

Phish and Scam Emails....

Here is a blog that topic that should be address to anyone who read this blog.

I have receive plenty and more than plenty scam and phish email. What are phish
and scam emails? They are emails where people write such emails as with the following
titles and messages:

1. Congratulation - You have won $ 100,000. Please send your name, address, phone
number and so in a reply email.

2. From the Director of FBI - You have been awarded 1,000,000 in funds from another
country. Please send information in a reply (The same kind of questions as listed
in Number 1.)

3. From a Relative of a love one that died - Please be the next of Kin so that I
can get the money out of the bank and I will award you so and so amount for
assisting me. Please give me your contact information in a reply email.

4. BUSINESS REQUEST - A person send an email saying they have a proposal and
they need your help collecting money for them in the United States.

You get the general idea of the kinds of emails I mention above. Any emails that
ask for any personal information from you like your name, address, phone number or
any personal information that you never thought they would ask like your checking
account number and son are red flag emails.

Those emails are phish and scam. The best advice is to simply delete them and do
not answer them. If you do answer those email and give out your information, you
will guarantee be ruined financially. I never even bother to answer those emails.

I have one more Scam that very popular that you should be aware of. It is when you
receive an email like from Bank of American, AOL or from a Bank in England saying
that your account has been loss and they need your personal information like your
credit card information or your bank account information in order to reactivate
your accounts. When you get those email, forward those email to the Fraud department
of those place. The cochlear implant is often referred to as a bionic ear.

Deafness is when a person can not hear anything at all with out any hearing devices such as hearing aid, CI and so on.

God is who is the person that created all of us and tests us with everything in life while we are all on Earth. Atheist are one group of people that I know that does not believe in God but that is not the issue in this blog.

The issue in this blog is dealing with Parents who thinks CI is the answer to their children problem that are deaf. Hearing parents wants their deaf children to be successful in the hearing society and think that putting CI on their children is the answer to the problem. That is not the answer to the problem because CI cannot make any deaf child an automatic hearing person. When the child takes off the CI, they are totally deaf again. The problem I have with this is that when a parents decide that in their best interest is that the child should have CI isn't in the child shoes or feet. They don't know how the child will feel to have a CI or what the long term affect will be on that child. Even if they become successful with the CI, will
that child be happy in a very long run? Once that child meet someone that is totally deaf, he/she could get confuse about why the other deaf person does not have a CI or why they accept being deaf?

Be deaf can be a test from God to see if the person accept being deaf and how they handle life being deaf. When a child is born deaf, God wants to know how parents and people deal with a deaf child. I really think God is surprise to see that parents decide that the child should have CI to hope the child be successful in the hearing society. Did God want that child to have CI and live with it? Is that the kind of test that God wants for the child to have in life? I don't know that answer but only God knows.

I have Cerebral Palsy and I have had 5 legs operations. Those operations I know will never cured me of Cerebral Palsy because it is a permanent brain damage. I had to have those operations to allowed me to move some muscles. But I know down the road, I will still end up in a wheelchair knowing that those 5 legs operations will not help me to walk for life.

I am also hearing impaired and use a hearing aid. I could get a CI but I would rather not get one. I was told one time, a CI operation is very risky to make half of the face flat because they put nerves to sleep prior to the operation. It would have taken me one year to recover the nerves on that side of the face and to be able to talk correctly. I know the technology maybe better than that but still I will never get a CI operation.

In my opinion, Parents should think more than twice before they have their child be operated on for the CI. Parents should know that those kinds of operations comes with risk and the well-being of that child. Even if the child gets a CI and does well, down the road, the child might destroy the CI device and be angry at the parents for having the CI. A day might come when the child might yell at the parents saying "Why did you get me a CI? Why can't you accept I was deaf before you had the doctor put CI on me? Why?". That is a very emotional thing that a child can do in the future.

Every disability a child is born with is a test from God to see if the child can accept who he is. I have accept my disability and I know God is testing me. I know that techology is out there to make me be a better person but I choose not to touch those new techology because I would rather accept myself as I am before I die. That will show to God that I love him unconditionally even with what I have.

The Coldest Cases from NTID.....

Today topic deals with two actually coldest cases out of NTID which stands for National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, NY. I ain't talking about any murder cases but cases that to me is beyond my understand why in the world NTID can't even solved them. If they can't solve them, then only God knows the answers to those cases. I will explain how with God at the end. So now on with the true cases:

Case No. 1: The smoke bomb between Tower A and B in 1983. This happen during the Summer Vestibule Program. I was living in Tower C that associate with Tower A and Tower B at the time. When it happen early in the morning. I was told to wait in another dormintory. I don't recall if anyone got hurt or sick from the smoke bomb. Camput Saftey did their share of work trying to figure out who set off the smoke bomb and they never found out who did it. It is like a scar to remember this event with no suspect ever caught. It wasn't a laughing matter when it happen and it isn't a laughing matter remembering it even today after it happen almost 26 years ago. Even the current President of NTID, Dr. T. Alan Hurwitz doesn't have the answer. I have ask him last year during the NTID 40th anniversity reunion and he doesn't even know. That is a cold case that hasn't be solved even to this day.

Case No. 2: A laptop was stolen from NTID last summer in July that has the students name, state of their residency and their social security number. According to NTID, that information is being used for research purpose and has all the students record from 1968 to approximently year 2007 students records. The laptop has not been recovered and the students social security numbers are still out there. Anyone who has that laptop could use the students social security numbers to do things like apply for a loan and so on. I don't recall signing any papers prior to NTID to allow them to use my social security numbers for research purpose. That is a violations of privacy in my opinion. I never knew they were using my social security numbers for research purpose or put that information on a laptop. I have never heard of any other colleges or university having their laptop stolen with students records on it including the students social security number. I have a guts feeling that who ever stole that Laptop knows about the laptop prior to taking it from NTID. You could put 5 laptops on the table and know what is on which each one. You would take the laptop that has the most information you needed and leave the other four laptop behind. So that is the point as who ever knows what they were looking for did take the laptop with the students record for their gain or whatever purpose. Why hasn't the Rochester Police Department, FBI or campus safety ever solved this problem? Social Security numbers are federal property because we use those numbers to file for jobs and for our income taxes. Social Security number comes from the United States Goverment means it Federal numbers. They come from the Social Security office which is a federal agency. Why can't NTID find this missing latop? Have they forgotten to install Lawjack alarm system to find the laptop? I mean the same kind of alarm system that is installed on new cars to help find stolen cars.

Anyhow, with those Coldest cases from NTID, the only person that knows the answer is God. God is recording things everyone is doing in their daily lifes. Once the person dies, God shows the video of what the person has done with their life. God will question to person on why did they do those things. I don't think God is laughing about the smoke bombing event or the laptop being stolen. The person can't take the laptop to heaven when they die. The person can't hide the smoke bomb event that they did at NTID. Everything in life is being recording even what I am doing now.

Whoever those people are that did the smoke bombing and the laptop, should come forward to face their punishment on earth as being truthful prior to their death on Earth. If they don't, God will reserve whatever punishment he can put on those people. I wouldn't want to see what those punishment might be even the worst punishment is being thrown in the "Lake of Fire" for lying to God and doing bad deeds. I would not want to put myself there because that is a second death means the end of my life for good. That would be end of seeing good people that are in heaven.
That will never be a laughing matter.

I wish these cases were solved to put NTID at peace and put these event in the past. For anyone who read this and did the crime, you have your choice to either come forward to face the punishment and ask for forgivenees from the society or face God and see what he would do to you for the crime that you have done. I am one of those that is willing forgive the criminals because criminals do make mistakes and learn from mistakes.

Mother Day and Unexpect Deaths.....

This blog has two different subject: Mother Day and the second one is on Unexcepted Deaths....

First one -

Happy Mother Day to all the mothers in this world that deserve a very special blessing day. All the mothers in the entire world deserve to be given thanks for all the wonderful things they have done to raise their children and helping their children raising their childern like they are the grand children. Without mothers, life would be living. Without mothers, there would be no children to help other children grow in this world. All children in this world today are our tomorrow future. The Children we have today can developed new technology in the future for better living for ourselves and for future generations to come. So Mothers, be thankful that you have a special day today as you deserve it.

Second One -

Unexpected Deaths. This morning my family and I went to church. There was announcement when saying prayers of those who passed way include the Priest's brother who died unexpectly this morning of a heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital and the Doctor could not revived the heart from the heart attack. It was sad news to me because it reminds me of a death of my older brother, Paul who died of a heart attack at the age of 41 back in December of 2000. The last time I saw him before that was at Thanksgiving time in Nags Head, North Carolina. Nobody expect my brother Paul to pass away of a heart attack. I know as well as some of you do know that the easy one of people that die commonly is of Cancer, or those who have serious injury like in the Intensive Care Unit in the hospital of those who have injury that are life threaten as are expect to die, or those with real health situation like having internal bleed and organ that are not working and shutting down. All those kind of situation, we know the person will die and I almost forgot to metion people who take overdose of medicine or drugs and die from it.

All those people who have heart attacks, those people did not see it coming and that their life was cut short because of the heart attack. They never had a chance to say good bye and they never knew that their time on Earth was up. They never knew at that moment that God has decided to take them home to heaven like he did with my brother, Paul.

Sure, some of you just walk around and doing things not know that you can get a heart attack unexpectly or die unexpectly in other ways like a neighbor I know died last year on Thanksgiving day. She was outside and fall backward. She hit ice and broke the back of her head and I guess the neck. She did die unexpectly. Nobody knew she was going to die at that time. It wasn't fair to her husband that she died before he did unexpectly. She never had a chance to say 'Good bye' to him and to others.

Death can come at anytime, any hours, any day and even when you least unexpected it to happened. That is exactly what happen to me when my brother died back in December of 2000. I wasn't expected it and it was of course shock to me. My dad died in March of 1999 of Liver Cancer which that expected but surely I did not expect my brother Paul to die about a year and a half after my Dad.

Do yourself a favorite and enjoy life as much as you can and love people around you including your family. You and I just don't know when our time is up and when we will die. That is the most unexpectly thing to happen in life is Death. Death has no age and it has no appointment. God wants us to enjoy life. God gives life and he can take a life anytime he wants. God is in charge of all of this. Even if he takes someone home via a heart attack, he still loves the people he took a person from. I know God loves all of us unconditionally.

Trust and the Bible...

When you read the Bible in either the Old or the New Testament, do you notice there is a word that is missing that that there are many stories that the word "Trust" is missing. For example, God warn Adam and Eve not to eat the Fruit of a tree or he will be angry at them. Even the snake fooled Eve to eat the fruit. Adam and Eve should have known God was saying "Trust me, don't eat that fruit" but God did not use the word "Trust". Adam and Eve should have "Trust" what God was saying before eating the fruit. Another example, Moses and God had a conversation. Moses ask God to prove he was with Moses. God told Moses to throw his stick on the ground and it will change into a snake. God did not have to say "Trust me and throw your stick on the ground." Moses did what God told him to do because he "Trust" God.

In the New Testament, Jesus said that he will come again. He did not have to say "Trust me that I will come again". It is for us to "Trust" Jesus. Another example when Jesus fed a large crowd with fish and bread. He did not tell the server "Trust me and pass this around as I will feed those people". The server trust Jesus and did not have to ask him any questions.

So the word "Trust" isn't use as often as it should in the Bible but it is in our heart and mind that "Trust" is very well in the Bible. We have to learn to "Trust" God and Jesus as it is told in the Bible.

Driving USA...

Just about anywhere you drive, you will surely find someone that is either wreckless
or careless when they are driving. Just the other day, a driver in a classic car
from the 1960's or 1970's was driving very aggresive and speeding on I-95 in Maryland. He was passing people just about anywhere in the four lane highway like
he was in a real hurry. I am like saying, where is the police officer to slow
that driver down. But there wasn't one.

Today, even if I was following the speed limit, a driver would make a left turn
in front of me less than 20 feet onto a two way road. The driver could have at
least wait until I pass to make that left turn because there was no car behind me
and there was no car coming the other way.

Do some drivers care about Red Lights? Do some drivers care about the speed limit?
Do some drivers care if they are breaking any driving laws? Do some drivers care
about they are driving rude or aggressive? Pick any kind of drivers and label
them to any of the above questions I have asked. The answer to any of those
questions for those type of drivers is "No". They don't care what you or anyone
else think about how they drive. They simply think, once they have driving
license, they can darn well do what they want when they drive. They figure, if
there is a way for them to do any of those things, they will gladly do it. If
they get into an accident, they will find a way to pin the fault on the other
driver. If they get pulled over by a police officer, they will find a way to
get out of a ticket and at a least hope to get a warning.

Sad but true as even if you pray to God to get safe driving from Point A to Point
B, you better pay harder.

All of us as drivers can't trust other drivers. Even if we drive at the correct
speed limit, there are people that surely will drive 10 or more miles above the
speed limit. Take I-95 which is the beltway in Washington DC area, what is the
average speed limit the drivers go? About 70 miles an hour and above on a 55 miles
an hour zone. Some will go even beyond 70 miles an hour.

Do yourself a favorite and use your mirror when you are driving as well as check
your blind spots. You will see from time to time not know where or how did a car
get to that surprise location.

Sadly no matter what we learn in driving education, we all have become enemies or
or no respect for each other when driving anywhere. In another words, there is no
respect for each other when driving. Just be careful where ever you are driving.
Thanks for reading this blog.

Update: According to the Triple AAA, they say that 78 percent of the people that drives in the Washington DC area are aggressive drivers. At the same time, 50 percent of those drivers admit themselves that they are aggressive drivers. So there you have it, there are all kinds of drivers out there either you like it or not.

The Purpose Driven Life and Me....

I was sick yesterday with a Stomach Virus probably due to my daughter was sick and I took care of her this recent Tuesday. Yesterday I was sitting bed and thinking about things I have done mainly on the computer and life in General.

My daughter is 6 years old and she wanted to help me while I was sick. I did not ask her to do anything but she was very helpful making sure I was okay.

Anyhow, there is a book called "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. The same pastor who was at Barack Obama event when he was sworn in. Forget about what you think or believe of the conflict of Rick Warren. He has written a book that talks about what is our purpose in life is on Earth. What is yours, other people, people all of over the world purpose is life is and how it is related to God. God plans everyone life for those who follow him and believe in him. He knows when you were born and he knows what exactly all of us are doing now, tomorrow, next week and so on. He plans things for all of us. You can ignore this blog and go do just about your things. But you can't hide from God no matter what you are doing.

What I have been doing on the computer is more than shameful to myself, my family and to know it is now what God wants to see. I have been going to Adult website which is wrong. You can get the picture. What is wrong with those website? Oh I know they are pleasure to look at and so on. They are out there to entertain people.
They have every rights to be out there for those who care to look at them.

For me, I come to realize after a while of doing it, it was totally wrong. It is as addicted as nicotine because it was a hard habit to break going to those websites.
So I decided to delete all those favorite links to those website from my computer.
I felt it wasn't right to continuing doing those things knowing that God is recording what I am doing in life. There was no life and no purpose for me to continue to access those websites.

Yes, the internet is a very dangerous world that has tons of many interest and things to explore. I do know that what I am doing is not only being watch by God but the Government. What you are doing on your computer is your choice. But keep in mind that the Government is watching you and everyone else. You have probably read stories of people getting arrested for going to website that has Child Porn, download pictures or for trying to talk with a young child on the internet hoping to met that person some where. Once you go met that person, you find out it was a federal agency that you were talking with and you got arrest for doing so. Once you get arrested for any crime related to the computer, you earned a ticket to Jail.

The computer is not a Purpose Driven Life. It is just a machine and you don't necessary be at the computer 24/7 means all the time. There is more life than the computer.

My family is more important than the computer and those adult websites. As Rick Warrn book says, God knows exactly what I am doing now and what I will be doing tomorrow. I know he did not drive me to those website but I went to those website as part of Freewill. We are all free do do what wish on Earth.

One last thing, I leave you here with a link to a Chick book to share with you that talks about how God record your life and what happen after you die, the choices are up to you. Here is the link:

http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0001/0001_01.asp

Just as you know even through you believe your name is in a Book of Life to go to Heaven does not necessary mean you are going to Heaven regardless what you do with your life. It is how you live your life is what God wants to see.

Scamming on the AOL IM...

I know of two friends of mine who has AOL Screen names. I will not tell you what their screen names are but both of their AOL IM screen names has been stolen by another person.

When I spoke with one of them, here is how I know the person is a hacker and not the real person:

Them: Hey
Me: Hi
Them: Have you heard of Mr. Allen of the Government?
Me: Who?
Them: He is the person that works in the Government.
Me: Sorry, I don't know and what are you talking about?
Them: Well, I met Mr. Allen yesterday and he was a nice guy. He said I will be getting $ 90.000 via UPS very soon.

-- Or --

Them: Hi
Me. Hi
Them: I am going to be very rich soon?
Me: Oh, I though you were looking for a job?
Them: No, I am going on a vacation very soon?
Me: How can you do that if you have not gotten a job?
Them: I will soon be receiving $ 90,000 via UPS very soon.

They are two different screen names and sounds very much of the same person telling the same story of getting $ 90,000 via UPS. Do you know where those conversation message is going to lead to? They will lead you to believe that they are getting money and will beg you for your information like your account number and so on so they can help you get money. But that will never happen. Their goal is to steal your identity like they did with other people through hacking through their AOL IM screen name.

I did call the real person that own the AOL IM screen name and they have told me that someone else has stole their AOL IM screen name for scamming.

If you want to protect yourself through the AOL and the AOL IM names, don't store your password on the system. The hackers are out there to try to steal your password and will steal your identity to scam other people. If you have suspect your AOL IM screen name has been stolen, call AOL immediately to tell them that someone has stole your identity. You can then create a new screen name and inform all the people you know to tell them of your new screen name and to tell them to ignore your old screen name.

To the hackers and scamming people that are reading this blog. If you think you can get away with this and try to scam people, think twice of your action. If you get caught and evidence are against you, you will be enjoying being in jail and be torture by other inmates in prison. You will lose your identity of who you are while you are in prison. You will lose a lot more that you will regret it when you go the prison. If you never get caught and passed away, be prepared to answer about this scamming on your judgement day. Every single action you are doing is being record and everything you do in life is being recorded.

Scamming other people are no joke and it is definitely a one way ticket to Jail or one messy ugly Judgement Day when you die. You will regret it and consider this as a warning. I would think twice of doing this action if I were you.

2009 College Scholarships for Students with Parents w/Disabilites

Below is something that may benefit you or others. How many of you that are reading this goes to the Bathroom
just about anywhere and don't wash your hands when you leave the Bathroom? Raise your
hands if you are one of them.

I know I can't see through the computer of who has or who has not raised their hands
on this question. Just be honest to yourself and answer this question.

This recent Monday, I went to use the Bathroom at Boston Market. While I was in the bathroom to wait to use the toilet. Two teenagers boys were in there. They both left without washing there hands. While I was in there going to the bathroom. A man goes in there to use the bathroom but also left without washing his hands as well.
The same thing happen at my work's bathroom. While I was there, two different men went to use the bathroom but left the bathroom without washing their hands.

So, why don't people want to wash their hands after using the Bathroom? Are they trying to get themselves and other people sick? Are they enjoying spreading germs from their hands through other people by shaking hands and so on? Are they trying to introduced themselves to Pink Eyes?

Yes, a dirty hands rubbing the eyes can spread germs and cause a Pink Eye. Why don't people care about themselves and simply take the time to wash their hands while they
are in the bathroom? It never hurts to take about a minute to wash and dry the hands in the bathroom.

Can you trust people that shake your hands and not aware they did not wash their hands in the bathroom? Or if they simply give you a hug and lay their hands on your neck or bare arms and spread germs.

I wash my hands when I go to the bathroom. It helps keep my hands from having any germs and prevent me from spreading germs.

I know this blog message might be worthless but washing your hands in the bathroom
will not only keep your hands clean but also prevent you or others from getting sick. I would appreciated if you are consider of others and of yourself to washing
your hands in the bathroom. I know that nobody should be telling you to do that but I am sure you have learned from your parents or others while growing up the
important of washing your hands in the bathroom or when you are at a sink.

Nursing Home and the Holiday...

I do know that Christmas is coming up on December 25th. When I was in High School, I used to be a member of a club called "Vocational Industrial Club of America" (VICA). Learn more about the club here is the link:
http://www.carthage.k12.mo.us/tc/vica.htm.

While I was a member of the club, I told the sponsor (teacher) of an idea to go visit a Nursing home to sing Christmas songs and wish them a Happy Holiday. The VICA and me went to visit a nursing home and did just as I have said.

For those of you that are reading this during the holiday, this is something you should be doing, you should be visiting a nursing home and go visit the old people there. Why? Because some of them are lonely and don't have anyone that would visit them. Some of them are the last one in their family line and don't have anymore family members. Some of them are sad and lonely thinking that nobody outside the nursing home cares about them.

The people in the nursing home are from another generation that work in their lifes to help keep things growing in the United States. Some of them are from an old war and they should be honor to keep the United States from harm. Maybe some of them were in World War II and help protect the United States from losing to Germany. If the United States did not go to war in World War II, all the disability people would have been killed as Hitler does not like disability people.

Someday you or someone you know will even up in the nursing home after doing work in the community. Would you wanted someone to visit you in the nursing home or just wanted to be left alone? People young and old can be friends. Friendship has no age. I do understand some of the patients in the nursing home may have Alzheimer's Disease. You may think they would not want anyone to visit them because of their memories. But in their mind, they still have some memory that they may remember you from visiting them from time to time. They will feel appreciated at the end in after life. In another words, they will have comfort to know that someone cares about them in the nursing home on the last stage of their life. They will realized that being in a nursing home isn't bad as long as someone shows cares for them. The staff at the nursing home don't have time to visit people or just plain lazy.

Shame on lazy staff members but the old people in the nursing home are human being just like us but only older. They have nothing to be ashame of.

Talk with some people and see if someone wants to go with you to the nursing home. You can call the nursing home and ask them if you can visit as a visitor to see if people there would like some company. Maybe you could play chess with one of old people ahd cheer them up. They will feel appreciated for what you have done.

I hope you give this some thoughts and visit a nursing home. Like in the Bible, Jesus said "I was sick and you visit me". They may not be sick in the nursing home but Jesus would bless you for helping others.

The Accepting of being Disability...

I know a while back I wrote a blog saying that being disability does not mean that I am disabled but an Enabled person.

This topic deals with the fact that I accept having Cerebral Palsy (CP) since I am born with CP. I accept having a Hearing loss as I would admit I am deaf without the hearing aid. I accept that I have Eczema but yet it isn't something that is easy to get rid of. I also have Asthma but not very often. I will explain all these things below.

With CP, I have had 5 different legs operations to simply help me walk and move my muscles. I use a cane to help me walk in different places and when I need it. The cane has been and will always be my friend. Why do I call the Cane my friend? Because it is there to help me get around and to help prevent me from falling down. There is nothing embarrassing of having a cane. There is nothing embarrassing for any people with CP to use any kind of Aids to get around no matter what they use. Whatever CP used to get around should be proud of themselves. They don't have to worry about about getting stuck or be boring in one location. If you ask me if there is such an operation to cure CP and the answer to that question is no. CP is a muscle and nerves damage that is actually located in the brain. What CP does to a person is that the muscle and nerves system could have miscommunication between the nerves system and the muscle to cause the person to fall. For example, trying to walk to a step onto the sidewalk from the street, the brain will tell the legs to lift up to go up the step but the person can fall for misjudging when to lift the leg or the wrong height in lifting the leg causing the person to fall. Another example is walking on the walking and your shoe hit a bump of the sidewalk could cause the person to fall. People who don't have CP walk normal and have no balance problem. People with CP can have balance problem when trying to walk straight, walking up the hill and so on.

I am hearing impaired and I do have a hearing aid in my left ear to hear sounds. My right ear is totally deaf. With the hearing aid, I can communicate one to one with another person. I can hear the TV while reading Closed Captions, I can listen to music as to understand some words. I really enjoy listening to Neil Diamond music. I also listen other music including such group like Steely Dan, Alabama, Chicago, and some other music as well. I do enjoy watching TV Programs such as Chuck, Knight Rider, sports and so on. Without my hearing aid, I am totally deaf. Even with being deaf, of course I don't need sounds to understand the TV as I can read the Closed Caption. I am not ashamed to say I am a deaf person even through I use a hearing aid. If this was way back in the Old West Time and so on in a Time Machine, I would definitely be deaf without any aids. I admit I am spoiled with a hearing aid but I live without it.

With Eczema, I only had it for only about 11 years. I have no clue how I got it but I have it. I went to see the Doctor and the doctor say it is something I inhertage but I have no idea who from or why this late in life. It was worst and now it is only to some small parts of my body than before. Of course I do have medicine cream for it.

Asthma is one other thing I have. I don't get it very often and I have not had an Asthma attack for a long time. It is manageable and something that I can control.

So why am I mentioning all these things in detail and why do I accept every different kinds of problem I am having? What is the point of all this in my blog?

The point of my blog is no matter what kind of condition I have, I don't put myself down about it. I know there could be other person that either better or worst than me. But you know what? I don't care because I am unique. All these things I have is definitely a test from God. To show God that I accept these things is my way of telling God that I love him no matter what I have. No, again, I never consider myself as actually disability like I am disable and can't do anything about what I have. I consider myself Enable and that I can deal with what I have. I accept what I have and again I actual do live with everything I have. As I can deal with these things and trust God at the same time, I know I can be successful. I know I will be fine. I know I have support of Friends, Family, and people at church that care about me.

You are all unique no matter what kind of conditions or problems you have. Don't let anything get in your way of success no matter what you have. If you need to get help or talk with someone about your things, go do that. Go get help if you needed. Go talk with anyone that you trust to help you deal with your things. Don't be shy to communicate and don't be shy to reach out if you need help. For others that want to help disability people, don't be shy to say hi and ask them if they need help. Make friends with people who have disability will make the disability knows that someone cares about them. The disability person will feel grateful and appreciate to know that someone cares as well a want to be friends with them.

Disability and Aids...

This one is my favorite topic and I ain't got anything to be ashame of on this topic.
Once you finish reading, you will understand.

Disability and Aids. What do I mean by Aids? I don't mean hearing aids. So what do I mean by Aids. I mean things that give supports to help the disability be Enabled. Without the Aids, the person would feel they are missing something to support them.

Well, what kind of Aids am I talking about? Any kind of Aids such as Hearing Aids, walking sticks, canes, crutches, scooters, wheelchairs, glasses and so on.

Any of those things that is use to help the person be Enabled. A hearing aid is use so the person can hear sounds and perhaps help in communications. That doesn't mean the person is hearing but helps the person in genereally in communication or understanding with the noises. Walking sticks or Canes, or Scooter or wheelchair are use to help the person be able to move around instead of not moving anywhere. Without those things, the person can't move. Glasses to read and to see things. Without glasses, the eyes can't help some people to see, or to read or to do anything with their eyes. I am not talking about without glasses the person is blind. I am talking about people who need glasses to help aid in using their eyes for whatever purpose.

One of the greatest aids I have are the hearing aid and a Cane. The hearing aid helps me with my communication needs. The Cane helps me to walk around in many different places. Without the cane, I am afraid to fall or lose my walking balance because of my Cerebral Palsy. There are places that aren't flat and smooth that I am afraid I could fall. For example, curb on the streets, gravel roads, or grass that has bumps and not smooth. Without the cane, those are some of the kind of area I would be afraid to walk without a cane. Having that Cane makes me feel good and safe.

If you need an aids to help you feel better and Enabled. Use it. Don't be ashame of using it. Don't worry what others may think of you for using it. There are people who understand why you are using the aids and respect you. Those kind of people would help you when they understand what you are using. Like at work, when I use the Cane, people would open the door for me and I would say Thank you. Those who don't understand what you are using as Aids may either ask you about it or simply ignore you or laugh. If they laugh, they are the ones that will learn the hard way someday that they wish they never did laugh. I am not saying they could end up usin the same Aids but will learn from other people they know very closely that uses the same aids. They will learn from them and look back thinking they wish they have not laughed in the first place. Life is tough and life has many lessons to learn from.

So be proud of whatever Aids you are using. It will make you a better and Enabled Person.

Disability and Self Esteem...

My last blog talks about Disability and Not Married. This topic talks about
Disability and Self Esteem.

Some people with Disability have no problem with their self esteem. They are happy,
positive, and accept themselves as they are. They have no problem communicating
with people. They have no problem socialized. They tend to have a sense of humor
that makes them stay happy about themselves and to cheer other people as well. They
don't let their disability interfere with their self esteem and are successful.

Other people with disability with low esteem tends to have problems. They are not
happy, they are not positive about themselves as they are. They tend to feel negative
about themselves. They tend to feel down and low about themselves. They tend to feel
bad about their disability and feel it gets in a way of how they feel.

When I was at National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), I was a sophomore.
A woman from Wisconsin came to learn more about deaf people with disability at
NTID. She interview me and another student about how we were doing at NTID. I told
her I was doing fine. She ask me how do I handle school with my Cerebral Palsy and deafness. I told her I have no problem dealing with education along with my Cerebral Palsy. She told me she had a client that time that was in a wheelchair. She told me that her client has negative thoughts and very low self esteem. She said her client even has problem doing her school work especially Math. She said her client thinks she can't do anything successfully because of her Cerebral Palsy. In another words, her client does not have positive attitude about herself. I was shock and sadness when I hear about her client. I told her that I have positive attitude about myself and always think positive. I told her to tell her client to think positive and to be positive about herself. Part of me wish that I thought about asking her to go to Wisconsin to talk with her client about her low self esteem. I never did ask but I wish I did. I know I can't turn the time back and tell her that. I was so busy that time focusing on my education at NTID.

I know there are people out there with disability that has low self esteem. It is not just as simple as taking the person to the gas station and fill them up with a special gas called "High Self Esteem" like High Octane to solve their esteem problem. It does take patient and work help the person self esteem problem. It takes lots of positive communication and lot of encouragement to help the person improves their self esteem. It could also require counseling because it involves communications and how to deal with different feelings involving the person self esteem. The communication itself has to be Open Communication with no criticizing or negative feedback. For example, suppose the client can't shot a basketball through the hoop. You can't say "You are not thinking right or you are not shooting the correct way" like in a wrong way that could discourage the client to shot the basketball again. They feel that kind of message tells them they will never be able to make another basketball shot into the hoop. It is best to say something like,
"That is good shot and you try". "Can I help you or give you some suggestion to improve shooting the basketball into the hoop?" A positive encouragement and a positive help makes the person feels better with positive support. A positive feedback makes them feel good that they are trying. After a while, the person will make the basketball shot through the hoop with positive encouragement. They will feel good that they made the shot.

That kind of suggestion I mention can apply to anything that the person with disability is trying to do well. The same can go for when the person is doing Math, Art or whatever the person is doing. A positive communication and positive encouragement will help them get better. They might not get the Math successful as it might not be their area but they will learn that they try with positive words. They will know with positive feeling that some other people can't do math well but are successful. For example, Elbert Einstein could do complicated things but was
unfamiliar with some math that he never understood. So there are people that can't do things well but have skills for other area.

Any disability with low self esteem should try to change that attitude with positive thoughts and positive encouragement from other people. They should be told from others that people love them regardless of their disability. They should feel that other care about them and they are a wonderful person no matter what. All those positive saying, positive support, and positive encouragement will help the person. Always have the open communication and help them. After a while, when they get to be successful, they won't worry about their low self esteem because they have change it to a Positive or High Self Esteem. They won't think about those low self esteem once they are successful. They will be happy to be successful with people around that that loves, support and encourage them to be success. I had all of that that made me successful at NTID. I had my family, friends, and many different people that help me be successful.

With the high self esteem I have, I have successfully gotten a High School Diploma even with 11 out of 12 years in Special education grades. I also have two different college degrees: AAS degree in Data Processing at NTID which is now called Applied Computer Technology even through they have different courses now and BS degree from Gallaudet University in Computer Information System. I am also married for 17 years with two children. So my Cerebral Palsy is never in the way of my self esteem with all those support and where I am today.

I hope this blog helps other with their self esteem and get help to be successful. Never let their self esteem get in the way of being a successful person. Since I have high self esteem, the others can to with all the things I mention in this blog.

Disability and Not Married ????

This topic is for those people who are deaf, have Cerebral Palsy or has any disability and are not married. Don't treat your disability as something that that can prevent you from getting married when you are afraid of it.

First of all, your disability should not prevent you from getting married, Your disability is unique and you have ways to enable yourself even with your disability. There are technologies such as hearing aids, walking canes, crushes, wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, scooters or whatever devices to help you to be enable and to go do whatever you need to do. Now you have things to make you be or feel Enabled instead of disability or disable. What is next?

Next, go out and makes friends. There are plenty of people that wants to be your friend and they wanted to make friends with you. Before I went to National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) in Rochester NY in 1983, I went to Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton Va for two years from 1981 to 1983. I didn't socialized and I did not have any real friends to go out with. I spend my Saturdays going to the mall, movies, church and Sunday was for some housework and doing my homework. I was basically living at home and my mother did not like it one bit what I was doing. That was a dull life but I did not mind doing that because I enjoy being single and not worrying about being married. My cousin went to Rochester Institute of Technology and told my mother about NTID. So I decided to apply in the Fall of 1982 and got accept to go in the Fall of 1983. Next my parents finally took me to NTID in August of 1983.

So I arrived at NTID in August 1983. It was amazing that I was home sick right away and I wanted to go home. My Father visit and try to encourage me to stay. I made some friends at the same time. Even one friend I met from NJ, he suggested for me to try the Fall Quarter and give NTID a try. Well, I did met one girl through her boyfriend before the Fall Quarter started. He introduce me to her as his girlfriend. I figure there was nothing wrong with being friends with her. Before the actual Fall Quarter started, NTID offer students a field trip ride to Darien Lake during the Labor Day weekend. I figure I ask the girl of the boyfriend if she wanted to go for fun. Her boyfriend did not wanted go to Darien Lake because it isn't a Six Flag parks with roller coasters rides and so on. He thought it would be boring to do the water slides and so on. Beside the girl, another friend came along who is a male friend. The three of us went to Darien Lake. The girl and I went on the water slides and had fun. The male friend forgot his bathing suit and towel. The girl and I also went on the foot pedal boat and that was fun as well. After coming back from the Darien Lake, the girl ask me if I had plans the following Fridays and Saturday. She really wanted to go out with me to have fun. She said it would not interfere with her relationship with her boyfriend as long as we have fun. So I went with her for about two months and have fun with her doing different things like going to restaurant, movies, bowling and so on. During that time, not once did her boyfriend took her out. He did not even eat meals with her and I did. So by about two months, I was waling back to my dorm. The girl told me to wait and watch her conversation with her friend. With me watching, she told him that she was breaking up with him and she ask me to come back to her room which was a single room. No, we did not have sex or have not yet had the first kiss. She said she had to go out with another guy and his parents who were coming to visit. That was already planned but she told me that she wanted to be with me. Next the relationship.

The girl and I started out slowly and of course I had my first kiss with her. I wanted to know what was it like to kiss a girl and to be in a relationship. The girl and I took our time and did things naturally. Next comes the serious part and now with the girl.

While at NTID, during the second year, the girl asked me to ask her to marry me. I am like shock she wanted a commitment in marriage with me. I didn't think she wanted to deal with my Cerebral Palsy, my deafness and my medical problems. Of course she and I are deaf but my Cerebral Palsy, I did not think she wanted to live with it. But she said, it is my heart and personality that she loves. She said she learn to love and respect me. At first I did not want to get married because of what I had and wanted to live single. It took a while to realized we truly love each other. Next, the present.

My wife and I have been married for 17 years. We had a long distance relationship prior to getting married. She was from Columbus Ohio and I was from Hampton Virginia. We have two wonderful children.

I suggest you to try to go on dates, try a relationship and hopefully get married. Don't let your disability get in the way to get married when in fact you truly love the person you want to married. Your disability should not be an excuse because I thought that was an excuse for me to live a single life and I was wrong.

Enabled and not Disabled....

This topic is about how people say the world "Disability". Like for example, people will say to me that you have a Disability because of your Cerebral Palsy and your hearing impairment. To me hearing impairment is the same thing as being Hard of hearing but that is the wrong word. Hearing Impairment means I am deaf. Deaf because without my hearing aid I am deaf.

It would be insult for someone to say to deaf people or anyone with any kind of physical or medical problem that they are disability people. Excuse me? Disability? Let me break up that word into three different words:

1. Disability - Not able or not as normal as someone who doesn't have any deafness or medical or physical problems.
2. Disabled - Disabled means can't do anything like a broke down car. The car is disabled and has to be towed to the nearest car shop. We aren't cars and we are human beings.
3. Dis-ability - Means like I don't have the ability to do anything while I am deaf, or have any physical or medical problems. Huh? Deaf people can do anything except hear!

For everyone else, we have equipments and devices to help us to be Enabled people instead of Disabled people. Of course we may have any kinds of disability but should that hold us back from being successful? No. It is a crying shame that people who things that disability people can't do anything are totally wrong. They can't just judge us like a cover of the book. They have to know more about us before they can decide for themselves. They should never say we are disability people.

So if anyone thinks that others that are disability are the same as being a disable person should be careful. There are medical technology and things that help us to be Enabled people. So don't think you are disabled because someone says you have a disability. Think of yourself as an Enabled Person and you are a successful person. You have advantage that they don't have. For example, if they work in a noisy office, they can't block those sounds. The deaf people can handle loud noisy because of deafness, the deaf person can block as well as worry about those noises.

Be Proud of who you are and don't worry about what other thinks of you because of your disability. At the end, you are as much success as they are. No matter what.

The Respect and Accept of Gay and Lesbians People

This post is about Respect and Accept of Gay and Lesbian People. There are plenty of
people out there who says that type of lifestyle is wrong based on the Bible and what other people think. Those who are not Gay or Lesbians but are straight may have never experience it or are afraid to try.

The Gay and Lesbian People are just like all of us. They eat, drink, social, work, in all walk of lifes and also pay taxes just like the rest of us. The only different between them and us is their lifestyle. What they do in their lifestyle or sex life is their choices.

Am I afraid of them or should you be afraid of them? I am not afraid of them as long as they don't force their sex lifestyle on to me. You should not be afraid of them because they don't bit or harm people. What they do is their choices. All they can ask you to do is to accept them as they are and don't judge them. If you judge them, then you will regret it. You can't change what they are. If you judge them, they will judge you the same way. Why? Because we are all sinners no matter who we are. We do things as human beings in Free Will that aren't perfect. We are all human and do things as we want like in a Free Will World. Do we know that God is watching all of us? Of course he is but he is giving us the Free Will to choose what we want to do. Either they are right nor not, that are the choices we make.

I have a gay friend that I totally respect. He does not preach or force me about his gay lifestyle. He is really a nice person. I don't have any problems with him and the same with him. He doesn't have any problem with me. We both respect each other.

So please do respect and accept people in the Gay and Lesbian community. They will do the same in return to you. Together, everyone can live happy and in peace with one another. That is what God says: "Love One Another As I Love You".

NTID Laptop and being betrayed...

There is big news that a laptop was stolen from NTID that contains more that 12,000 records of students names, date of birth, and Social Security Number (SSN). According to Dr. Alan Hurwitz of NTID, he said that data was being use for research purpose.

Did he get permission of the student's to use the student's data for research purpose? Did he ask students who records on that laptop permission to use the SSN? I realize, using SSN is a violation of Privacy Acts. SSN is our tax payers numbers that is used to identify us when we pay our taxes, to get pay at work, apply for loans and so on.

Dr. Alan Hurwitz did this without asking more than 12,000 students for permission to say it is okay to use our SSN as a part of research. Am I dumb founded to think that make sense? It never does. Even if two people have the same name, they could use a different code or something to keep the person separate instead of using the SSN. I don't think it makes sense to use our SSN for research.

I personally feel like suing NTID for what has happened. To wait 5 days after the Laptop was stolen to hear the news about the stolen latop is bad. More than bad. Very very bad thing. NTID has no business to take my data and use it for research purpose unless they have my permission on a black and white paper with my signature. They didn't ask me and they never informed me they would use my record for research. They did not ask me if it was okay to use my SSN for research purpose.

I will always be a proud NTID Alumni but I will never be prous of what NTID has done for losing the laptop. I do have two demands for NTID:

1. Work hard to recover that laptop.
2. Dr. Alan Hurwitz should resigned from NTID for disgracefully allowing the researching people to use our SSN as part of research without our permission.

NTID knew the laptop was being use for research but failed to safely protect that laptop and protect the data on that laptop. NTID will owe all of us more than just an apologies. How bout they pay for Fraud Protect Service for all those students on the credit card service until the laptop gets recovered? That should not be our responsible to pay for that when NTID was the one that allowed our SSN to be stolen.

In Memory of Harold Tritt...

This blog is about a memory of a person that I know by the name of Harold Tritt. Harolt Tritt passed away last Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Harold Tritt is a person I know and met when we both went to National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) in Rochester New York back in 1983. I met him during the Summer Vestibule Program (SVP) back in 1983. One day I was schedule to go get eye exam just like everyone else was to get an eye exam during SVP. He was in the back of me in line. I had no clue who he was and so on. The strangest thing he said to me in line "Move along, George Washington." I am like saying what? He said it again and was teasing me. That was a strange way to met each other.

Before the Fall Semester, he saw me sitting in the lobby in Tower B. He simply came up to me and beg me to be his roommate. He knew I was a good person and he knew I was the right roommate for him. I had no clue how he knew but he refuse to give up trying to get me to be his roommate. I finally gave up and became his roommate in Sol Heumann Hall. We lived on the second floor from 1983 to 1984. One of the oddest thing that happen one night was that I told him I was gonig to visit my girlfriend and he told me he was going to do exactly the same
thing. He was following me to the same bedroom I was going to. It turned that his girlfriend
was my girlfriend's roommate. I find it strange that I did not know that my girlfriend's roommate was Harold's girlfriend or that they knew each other. That is something I never heard of girlfriend and boyfriends were roommates out of the whole campus.

After the first year, Harold and I were roommates for next three years including 2 years at
Riverknoll apartment on campus. Harold and I graduated from NTID with AAS degree in Data Processing. Harold and I then transfer to Gallaudet University in 1987.

During our first year at Galllaudet University, both of us was involve for a short time with the Protest in the Spring of 1988. The protest was known as Deaf President Now. Harold and I
left Gallaudet on Thursday to go to New York to visit Harold's parents and family. Harold and I got our picture taken to be put in the local newspaper in New York talking about the Protest experiences at Gallaudet University.

Harold left Gallaudet at the end of the spring Semester of 1988. He left to go work for the Federal Railroad Administration under the Department of Transportation in Washington DC.

Later on, Harold got a BS degree in Computer Information System from University of Maryland. He also got married in 1984 and he was almost married 14 years next month in June. He and his wife has two sons who are age 12 and 9.

Last December on Christmas Day, Harold had some very pain feeling and had to be rush to the Hospital. He went in to Surgery on December 26 and he almost died on the operation table. He had reputure and internal bleeding. He loss his large intestine. After that, he was place in the ICU at George Washington Hospital for about two months. He had a lot of operations in Janurary to make sure his organs were working. I think he also almost died during another operation in January.

By the middle March, he was release to go to a Rehab Center. He did not last very long there as I think a week or a week and a half. Something happen at the Rehab that causes Harold to go back to the hospital. He was transfer to Prince George Hospital. He had just about the same problem he had at George Washington which was his breathing and kidney problems.

Harold Tritt died in May of this year after a long illness. He is a friend I had and knew from NTID until he passed away. I didn't get a chance to visit him at the hospital because his wife only wanted family members and people that Harold knew to visit him. She wanted Harold to relax and get better. She said she would let me visit Harold if he went back to the Rehab place but he never made it back to the Rehab. He will forever be missed.

Gallaudet...

On my last post, I post about NTID and now this post is about Gallaudet University which
is the only Liberal Art University for the Deaf. Gallaudet University is located at 800 Florida Ave, NE (North East) in Washington DC. It is about a couple of block to New York Ave. It is one block walk to Subway Restaurant. It is about two blocks away from Roy Rogers Restaurant. There is also another couple of Blocks to New York Ave-Gallaudet Unversity Metro train stop. I could easily walk to Gallaudet from there but there is a shuttle bus that runs there from Gallaudet to pick up people who wants a ride to Gallaudet Univesity.

I went to Gallaudet Unversity from the Fall 1987 to December 1990. I was also at Gallaudet
University during the Deaf President Now Protest in the Spring of 1988. The protest last
about a week but I was only there from Sunday to Thursday. Yes, the Protest was on Sunday
as a starting time to warm up to close the campus on Monday that week. It was huge and
successful Protest. The students were able to close all the gates to make their demands of:

1. The person who was appointed President, Elizabeth Ziner, resigned as the President
of Gallaudet as she was the first hearing woman selected to be the President of
Gallaudet University.
2. The Chairman of the Board, Jane Basseet Spilman resigned as she wasn't a nice person.
3. A new deaf President be name the President of the University. The Unversity never
had a deaf President.
4. That the Protester shall not be punished for their actions as there would be no reprisals.

All the demands were met and it was over in one week on Sunday but the University allowed
the students to go on Spring break that week. The only con thing about the Protest was a lot of fire alarm as even at two oclock AM. It actually drove me nuts not to get my sleep and also
my walking problem because of Cerebral Palsy.

I spend one year form 1987 to 1988 to think about what Major I wanted and I even tried both Computer Science and a course from Computer Information System (CIS) as well. I did not do well in Pre-Calculus. I did not pass Pre-Calculus because I have been out of shape with my
math for quite sometime. So I decided to go into CIS in the Fall of 1988 and I finished the major in December of 1990.

My experiences at Gallaudet was okay but not as great as when I was at NTID. They both
are very different and offer different things. I did not like going to Gallaudet being inside
the City compare to NTID which was out in the County. There were less fire alarm at NTID
then at Gallaudet. Even driving in Washington DC was crazy than at NTID while being a
student at Gallaudet. I even had a roommate that commit Suicide in December of 1989 close
to the Final Exams. The roommate was one of 6 roommates I had in Clerc Hall. He was in
the honor program and I guess he had personal problems that I wasn't aware of. That is
something I won't forget.

If you are interesting in learning about Gallaudet or attending to Gallaudet, here is their
website: http://www.gallaudet.edu/. I went to NTID from 1983 to 1987. It was the greatest college I have ever attending to. It was the first college away from home and learning not only being independent but responsibilities. I learned how to do time management with school homework, social, and laundry. Once I was at NTID, I can't have my mother doing the laundry for me. She taught me how to do that before I went to NTID.

Before I went to NTID, I graduated from Phoebus High School in Hampton Va in 1981. After I graduated from High School, I attended to Thomas Nelson Community College for two years to improve my skills such as reading, writing and other basic skills. I did not hear about NTID until my Cousin was at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and he told my mother about NTID. NTID is one of the nine sub colleges at RIT and it is for deaf and hearing impaired students. He told her that I should go to NTID and he encourage her for me to apply to go there. I did not visit NTID before I applied. I was accepted into the Fall of 1983.

When I went to NTID in August 1983, I went into the Summer Vestibule Program (SVP). It is a program where I learned more about NTID, take some test for placement classes in the Fall of 1983 and sample different career majors such as Art, Social Worker, Data Processing and Printing major. I was accepted into Data Processing Major but I choose to wait until the Fall of 1984 to decide between Data Processing and Social Worker field. Why? Because in Social Worker Field I could help others with Cerebral Palsy to be successful people. But I did not want to keep going until I get a Master degree to make good money in the field. I went into Data Processing Major which is now called Applied Technology Major.

During 1983 to 1987, I had to deal with each year of snow falling from November to April. It was a lot of snow and I had to get used to it compare to living in Hampton, Virginia. I met my girlfriend at NTID and we had a lot of fun at NTID. We went out to dinner alot, went to plays at NTID, went Bowling on RIT campus. Sadly, there is no longer a bowling alley at RIT. We went to lots of RIT Hockey games and they were a lot of fun to watch. We also even went Ice skating at the ice rank at RIT. NTID was way out in the County and away from the city of Rochester NY. It was more of a quiet college compare to Gallaudet University that is in Washington DC. Gallaudet University is a different story that I will share later on.

Even at NTID, I had my first major car accident that my car was totalled. My friend and I survived the accident. The car I had was a 1975 Plymouth Duster. It was a really nice car. I even learned about living in apartment near my major that was in Building 14 on RIT campus. I know there were many things to learn and many mistakes to learn from. I even learn mistakes in the relationship with my girlfriend in college. NTID is more of a trial and error place for me to learn. I even learned about when another group of religious attacks my religious and that was a learning experiences.

If your parents send you away to any colleges in the United States including RIT or NTID or Gallaudet University, you will appreciate it on the day you graduated that you were glad you went away to college. Take the years of college and hold them as memory of your first time away from home. Take every minute of it and enjoy it even if it is either good or bad times. Because by the time you graduated from college, you can never turn back the clock and wish you could do it all over again. You are giving one chance in your lifetime to go away to college on your own. If you choose to quit and want to go home because you are homesick, you will blew a chance of a lifetime to know the college you attend and your chance to do things without your parents. It was worth it that I did it. My mother send me to NTID because when I went to the local community college near my home, I did not have any friends and I was actually a lonely or shy person. Away from home and at NTID, I learned how to make friends and have fun. I made a lot of friends at NTID that I am still friends with today. One of them that I met at NTID, I broke up friendship with him years later for reasons.

NTID will ways be my first college to break my homesickness, my first time to learn how to be independent, make decisions on my own, learn many things in life and to have fun. NTID isn't for everyone but it will always be my heart and my favorite college I have ever attended to. I plan on visiting NTID in June for the NTID 40TH reunion. It is always fun to go back and see what changes they made and what they added and so on. I know NTID changes since I graduated but it does not change how much I really appreciate NTID even today and forever.

Thank you NTID for what you have done for me and giving me a chance of being a student from 1983 to 1987. You will always make me proud of being there.
