Enabled and not Disabled....

This topic is about how people say the world "Disability". Like for example, people will say to me that you have a Disability because of your Cerebral Palsy and your hearing impairment. To me hearing impairment is the same thing as being Hard of hearing but that is the wrong word. Hearing Impairment means I am deaf. Deaf because without my hearing aid I am deaf.

It would be insult for someone to say to deaf people or anyone with any kind of physical or medical problem that they are disability people. Excuse me? Disability? Let me break up that word into three different words:

1. Disability - Not able or not as normal as someone who doesn't have any deafness or medical or physical problems.
2. Disabled - Disabled means can't do anything like a broke down car. The car is disabled and has to be towed to the nearest car shop. We aren't cars and we are human beings.
3. Dis-ability - Means like I don't have the ability to do anything while I am deaf, or have any physical or medical problems. Huh? Deaf people can do anything except hear!

For everyone else, we have equipments and devices to help us to be Enabled people instead of Disabled people. Of course we may have any kinds of disability but should that hold us back from being successful? No. It is a crying shame that people who things that disability people can't do anything are totally wrong. They can't just judge us like a cover of the book. They have to know more about us before they can decide for themselves. They should never say we are disability people.

So if anyone thinks that others that are disability are the same as being a disable person should be careful. There are medical technology and things that help us to be Enabled people. So don't think you are disabled because someone says you have a disability. Think of yourself as an Enabled Person and you are a successful person. You have advantage that they don't have. For example, if they work in a noisy office, they can't block those sounds. The deaf people can handle loud noisy because of deafness, the deaf person can block as well as worry about those noises.

Be Proud of who you are and don't worry about what other thinks of you because of your disability. At the end, you are as much success as they are. No matter what.

The Respect and Accept of Gay and Lesbians People

This post is about Respect and Accept of Gay and Lesbian People. There are plenty of
people out there who says that type of lifestyle is wrong based on the Bible and what other people think. Those who are not Gay or Lesbians but are straight may have never experience it or are afraid to try.

The Gay and Lesbian People are just like all of us. They eat, drink, social, work, in all walk of lifes and also pay taxes just like the rest of us. The only different between them and us is their lifestyle. What they do in their lifestyle or sex life is their choices.

Am I afraid of them or should you be afraid of them? I am not afraid of them as long as they don't force their sex lifestyle on to me. You should not be afraid of them because they don't bit or harm people. What they do is their choices. All they can ask you to do is to accept them as they are and don't judge them. If you judge them, then you will regret it. You can't change what they are. If you judge them, they will judge you the same way. Why? Because we are all sinners no matter who we are. We do things as human beings in Free Will that aren't perfect. We are all human and do things as we want like in a Free Will World. Do we know that God is watching all of us? Of course he is but he is giving us the Free Will to choose what we want to do. Either they are right nor not, that are the choices we make.

I have a gay friend that I totally respect. He does not preach or force me about his gay lifestyle. He is really a nice person. I don't have any problems with him and the same with him. He doesn't have any problem with me. We both respect each other.

So please do respect and accept people in the Gay and Lesbian community. They will do the same in return to you. Together, everyone can live happy and in peace with one another. That is what God says: "Love One Another As I Love You".

NTID Laptop and being betrayed...

There is big news that a laptop was stolen from NTID that contains more that 12,000 records of students names, date of birth, and Social Security Number (SSN). According to Dr. Alan Hurwitz of NTID, he said that data was being use for research purpose.

Did he get permission of the student's to use the student's data for research purpose? Did he ask students who records on that laptop permission to use the SSN? I realize, using SSN is a violation of Privacy Acts. SSN is our tax payers numbers that is used to identify us when we pay our taxes, to get pay at work, apply for loans and so on.

Dr. Alan Hurwitz did this without asking more than 12,000 students for permission to say it is okay to use our SSN as a part of research. Am I dumb founded to think that make sense? It never does. Even if two people have the same name, they could use a different code or something to keep the person separate instead of using the SSN. I don't think it makes sense to use our SSN for research.

I personally feel like suing NTID for what has happened. To wait 5 days after the Laptop was stolen to hear the news about the stolen latop is bad. More than bad. Very very bad thing. NTID has no business to take my data and use it for research purpose unless they have my permission on a black and white paper with my signature. They didn't ask me and they never informed me they would use my record for research. They did not ask me if it was okay to use my SSN for research purpose.

I will always be a proud NTID Alumni but I will never be prous of what NTID has done for losing the laptop. I do have two demands for NTID:

1. Work hard to recover that laptop.
2. Dr. Alan Hurwitz should resigned from NTID for disgracefully allowing the researching people to use our SSN as part of research without our permission.

NTID knew the laptop was being use for research but failed to safely protect that laptop and protect the data on that laptop. NTID will owe all of us more than just an apologies. How bout they pay for Fraud Protect Service for all those students on the credit card service until the laptop gets recovered? That should not be our responsible to pay for that when NTID was the one that allowed our SSN to be stolen.
